The Statue of Our Lady of Walsingham will be brought to Nottingham Cathedral for Veneration, and will be in the Cathedral from 10-12 October.
Thursday 10 October
The visit will begin at 5pm with Rosary and Litany of the English Saints and Martyrs and there will be Solemn Mass with procession and crowning of Our Lady of Walsingham at 7.15pm celebrated by Bishop Patrick.
Friday 11 October
The Cathedral will open at 7am and all are welcome to come along and join in any of the services that are taking place during the day. From 10am we will be welcoming schools from the Diocese to lead us in the Rosary. The 1pm Mass will be celebrated according to the Use of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
During the tour we will also be welcoming Monsignor John Armitage who will give a talk on England’s Dowry of Mary heritage and gift, and Fr Gerard Mary OFM, who will give a talk on Blessed John Henry Newman.
Saturday 12 October
Bishop Patrick will be the Celebrant at the Solemn Closing Mass at 12.15pm on Saturday 12th October, Fr Biju Joseph will preach and we will be joined by participants in song by the Ethnic Chaplaincies.
